Thirty-Seven & Rooted

Greetings! I sincerely appreciate your visit to my page. My blog aims to provide comfort, peace, and hope to those needing a little boost while spreading the Word of God. I was born and raised in Eastern North Carolina but have lived in Kentucky the last 12 years. I love it here, but boy, do I miss the coast and all it has to offer. My favorite days are sunny and HOT with a cup (or pot!) of coffee. The rest of my day I drink water, so see, it’s not all bad! You may find me with my dogs, might not. That just depends on how they are following rules that day. I have four of them, so now you understand 😉

I have two boys, aged 12 and 14. They share a passion for baseball, fishing, and hunting. I also enjoy fishing with them. I’m their biggest baseball fan. (It’s what I’ve always said to them)

Additionally, I have a deep love and passion for all animals and their well-being.  I care a lot between animals and people, so after the boys got a little older, I went back to school and became a Medical Coder and Biller. I really enjoyed learning it.

I must admit, I can be a touch stubborn at times. God had tried to show me the way many times, but I failed to listen. This past year, it took a very traumatic car accident, from which I shouldn’t have survived, for me to understand what God needed from me. He needed for me to be silent and LISTEN. After my accident, I finally understood clearly, and I have ever since. He wanted me to just follow Him. What a turning point that happened in my life. I have been blessed in more ways than I could ever see coming and it continues. My article ninety-nine to one, is a good starting point.

I have endured numerous setbacks in life. From many personal recoveries, learning to walk again from debilitating injuries, and violating almost all of the Ten Commandments at some point. However, I have made tremendous progress through my faith in God, and I believe you can, too. I am eager to share my journey with you and will be completely honest and transparent. It is essential for me to be truthful to you in order to convey what God has done for me and what I share with you. If you’ve made it through reading this far, I look forward to seeing you more!
